Transneft says receives no compensation requests for Druzhba oil

ST.PETERSBURG, Jun 26 (PRIME) -- Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has not received any official requests to compensate for contaminated oil in the Druzhba export pipeline in April, aide to the CEO Igor Dyomin told reporters on Wednesday.

“All participants are calculating their losses. As it has been said before many times, it will take the time until the end of summer to do this. No official claims have arrived to the companies of Transneft yet,” Dyomin said.

He also said that Transneft will set no exclusive terms of damage compensation for any of the consignors.

The Samara District Court changed the restrictive measure for Deputy CEO of company Magistral Sergei Balandin in a case over oil contamination to house arrest.

The problem with the quality of oil coming from Russia to Europe via Transneft's Druzhba pipeline appeared in April, and it will take the company around eight months to solve it completely.
